Funk and Sertanejo: Funknejo?

Funk is a musical genre that started in Rio De Janeiro, around 2000, years before, it already appeared something seemed but not considered funk. It made the poor people have voice, be heard. The funk has some negative aspects: the lyrics, that has a obscene language, makes the woman seems an object and other things...

Sertanejo was an expression of the countryside, showing the daily of humble people in your house, your simple life, but now is shows ostentation and a extravagant life of sex, drinks and drugs - it's the "sertanejo universitário" and the negative aspect of sertanejo is like of the funk, and other: the omission of their roots.




Other strand of both is the funknejo: a lot of artists change of style, going into this genre. Mc Kevinho, Lucas Lucco and Mc Nego do Borel are examples of people that changed their style.
