Basketball

where and when it came:

Basketball is believed to have originated in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States in 1891. The man responsible for creating this sport was a Presbyterian pastor named James Naismith, who taught Physical Education at the Young Men's Christian Association (ACM). The idea was to allow the students to perform some collective physical activity in an internal environment, because the cold prevented them from playing outdoors. To meet this request, Professor Naimsmith divided the students into two teams and defined that athletes could only move with the ball if they hit with it on the ground. He further determined the main goal, which was to get the ball into the basket. Then surrender the group that was most successful in that action. Reports from the period indicate that all the balls thrown into the basket had to be removed with the help of a ladder. That's because the bottom of the basket would only open some time later. From this measurement, the ball could return to court quickly so that the game would restart.

Female basketball was implemented the following year in 1892. However, the first official game took place only in 1896. Senda Berenson, a physical education teacher at Smith College, was responsible for initiating the activity. She led some changes to the rules laid down by James Naimsmith.

The fundamental aspects of basketball:

-Tray: Throw which is completed after a run towards the basket.
-Jump: it is spoken of the throw executed during a jump to make difficult the action of the opponent's marker;
-Fintas: is a kind of basketball dribble, in view that refers to the movement made with the ball to deceive the opponent;
-Rebounds: When the ball does not enter the basket after a throw, the player has the chance to take it back to his team.

In basketball, taking more than two steps without bouncing the ball on the court is seen as lacking. Likewise, staying for more than 3 seconds inside the bottle implies a penalty. You also can not hold the ball for more than five seconds without throwing it into the basket or to a teammate. Finally, it is lacking to touch the hand or arm of the athlete with the ball.

The score is as follows:

-Throw-free: it is scored when a team exceeds the foul limit or when a player is going to throw the basket and suffers the foul. In this situation each is worth one point.
-Throwing: under normal conditions during the match, each basket is worth two points.
-Three-point throw: When the player makes the basket by throwing behind the three-point line, the pitch is, of course, three points.
