Creating your own Game.

      Create a campaign isn't a easy work, the narrator can begins to do the history weeks before the game starts. There are many things to think if you want a new world with its own history, culture, population, but the important is that it do the players and the narrator have fun when they play, you need to imagine a place where everyone would like to play. So there are some tips that we will give in this post.

        3 simple questions:

        First: What genre will you play? You must ask this to the players, "what do you prefer?" Dinossaurs, Aliens, Contemporary World, Medieval Fantsay, Post-Apocalyptic? It's necessary be based in the answer, and if they want to play more than one genre, all right, you can mix them too. 
        Second: Now it's necessary chosing the game style, hack and slash, strategy, interpretation, how it wil be played? Another time you must know what the players would prefer, remember, they are the body and need to be happy with the game.
      Third: Now everyone must arrive in a consensus, it's about how many sessions that campaign will have. The people have a life out the game, so you need to know during how much time the game will last. Decide if it will be one afternoom or many and now you have a idea of how big the soty will be.
     

       The Rules.

        While choosing the rules for your world, you must decide between the following options:
 - Choosing a system that alredy exists: The most reliable choice if you want a balanced ruleset that matches your world (just like D&D would match a fantasy scenary where the heroes may fall during a fight but hardly suffer an injury that would incapacitate him or reduce his performance, or a realistic system that allows the lost of a limb).
 Although the system rules have alredy been writen, nothing stops you from changing them in order to better fit your campaign. That is why some systems like GURPS preview some optional rules.
 


 - Creating your own rules: It should be a more friendly choice if the players aren't used to reading a full book just to have an idea on how would the game work. But it requires a lot of efforts to develop and balance it.

 In short the system might be chosen aiming the enviroment of the world (fantasy, horror, etc...) and the atmosphere that should takes place at the table.

       The History. 

        The world is very complex, full of species, monsters, cities, forest, mountais and your own history. You don't need to think every thing that happened since the creation of the Universe until the time when the game is going on, there are some facts that are most important and really will influence the campagin. A Hero who saved the world and change it in the past, how the politic was, a God War wich allowed the world be created and defined the religion of all Universe. These are the most important facts, those wich created the presente time.
        You have to know that some times player can ask about some historic thing, well it's good tell them just a part of what you create in the main story and if they became curious they can discover the rest in a covnersation.
        

      The World

     A world can be guided by many things, lots of Kings fighting to conquer it, some countryies with their own president or a big continent without a leader. Think about the story you want to create, if the player want to save the world from a Tyrant or Bad force who intends to kill everyone. If they prefer to be mercenaries and gain their own money in a no-rule world.
    You have to think about Magic too, will it exist in the world? who will provide it? A kindness Boss who wants everyone be good or a special energy tha comes from nature, it's normal that it cames from many differents sources, because this let the players with more choices about their character. Or there are group with fight because they believe in one that is absoluty.
   The technological development says how will be the trips(by plane, horse or dragon?). The weapons or guns, what do the players prefer. This can say how the role-playing will happen because "people" change their comunication with diferrent levels of technology.

      Who lives here?

        The population is important too, the NCP's, each one with a different personality help the history become more realyst and interesting, a culture wich say the behavior of a place say how a player must act, the choices he has to do or the sentences he says. Some powerfull and mysterious people can let the game better.
        The monsters they will fight, mainly in hack and slash, can do the people stay excited. A big Alien that destroys a city and do the players run away, or simple Goblim group in the begining  when the players are weak can be very fun. Another time it's necessary a combat more serious with Boss and powerfull creators, or in some situations shapeshifters who tricks the group are the best option.
       You can be thinking "How can I create a monster?". Well the systems have many choices to you, you can use them or see one and create another based in it. You don't need to be liited to the system of the game, you can catch one of other and adapt it.

    How Can I Start?

       Introduce the playes can be a easy work, first, who are they in the wolrd, a part of the kindons arm or people of a village who want to increase their lifes? Their history is important too, for example, a Druid can live in a forest before the campagins, but a crazy scientist can live in a lab and everything begins when it burst. 
      In a middle of a war all the group can be together in a shelter or if it's a Alien invasion they can be in their normal life of the period when a spacesheep appears. Just use their story and the campaign to create a rational situation.
